Imphal, September 05 2025: As part of Irabot Foundation Manipur's on-going month-long tree plantation campaign, different varieties of fruit-bearing seedlings such as lemon, jackfruit, apricot, etc were planted today in the surrounding areas of Khumbong Awang Leikai Community Hall.

The drive was carried out in association with Irabot Foundation Manipur (IFM) Imphal West District Branch.

The drive was led by IFM president Kh Gopen Luwang and accompanied by IFM Imphal West District Branch advisor Dr Kolom Rabi, president Longjam Munindro and secretary Oinam Hemanta Jeet.

The tree plantation drive also witnessed enthusiastic participation from ASHA workers of the area.

The initiative underscored IFM's commitment to environmental conservation and the protection of Manipur's natural heritage.

Moreover, Imphal East District United Clubs' Organisation (IEDUCO) in collaboration with Awang Potsangbam Khunou Youth Development Club successfully conducted a tree plantation drive at Ebudhou Koubru Laibung in Awang Potsangbam Khunou, Imphal East today.

The tree plantation drive was organised under the aegis of AMUCO in connection with the "129th Lamyanba Irabot Ningsing Thouram, 2025".The event was attended by dignitaries, including Vikram Suresh Nadhe, Divisional Forest Officer, Central Forest Division; AMUCO general secretary Pratap Leishangthem and secretary organisation Laishram Krishnachandra; Awang Potsangbam Khunou Youth Development Club vice president Chingangbam Nelson, and IEDUCO president Kh Orendro.
