4 AR men hurt in mishap on Imphal-Moreh highway

Imphal, May 04 2026: Four personnel of 36 Assam Rifles were injured in a road accident that occurred on Imphal-Moreh highway between Lokchao and Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal district this afternoon.

A convoy of 36 Assam Rifles was heading toward Lokchao from Khudengthabi when one of the vehicles met with an accident at around 1.30 pm.

Of the four personnel injured in the accident, two were evacuated to Shija Hospital while the other two who sustained minor injuries were given treatment at their unit hospital.

The two AR personnel presently undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital have been identified as Marem Rajesh Maring (46) and Amjad Khan (45) .

Marem Rajesh Maring sustained head injury and facial laceration and Amjad Khan sustained blunt chest injury and ear laceration.
