Convergence Mela conducted

Imphal, July 01 2025: A Convergence Mela at the Gram Panchayat level was held today at Lai Haraopham Awang Potsangbam Khullen Mamang.

The mela was jointly organised by five Village Level Federations (VLF) namely Lousingee Mangal VLF Tengdongyan, Imagee Anouba Mangal VLF Maharabi, Punshigee Anouba Mangal VLF Awang Leikinthabi, Salai Taret Apunba VLF Awang Wabagai and Apunba Ashagee Mangal VLF Awang Potsangbam Khullen.

It was conducted under the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), Imphal West Haorang Sabal Block, in collaboration with PRI members of Potsangbam Gram Panchayat.

More than 20 departments participated in the mela, offering a variety of services to the public.

Departmental staff also provided awareness about the various schemes implemented by the Government for the welfare of the public.

A medical team also provided free health examinations and consultations to the public along with essential medicines.

The mela provided the villagers with an opportunity to apply for and obtain essential documents or to submit their grievances directly to the departments concerned.

Chaired by Dr Laishram Boby Devi, Chairperson of Imphal West Zilla Parishad, the event was also attended by Chairpersons of different Gram Panchayats and officials as guests of honour.
