DC Thoubal appeals public cooperation for SIR enumeration drive

Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal and District Election Officer Yumnam Robita has appealed to the people of Thoubal district to extend full support and cooperation to Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who will begin distributing enumeration forms to households from tomorrow in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference held today at the conference hall of the DC Office, Robita stated that as part of the ongoing SIR process, BLOs will visit every household across the six Assembly constituencies of the district to distribute enumeration forms for inclusion in the electoral roll.
Appealing to the public for cooperation, she urged families to receive the forms for all eligible voters in their households, fill them up properly, and submit them to the respective BLOs within the stipulated period to ensure the success of the SIR campaign.
The District Election Officer further informed that the process for filing claims and objections will continue from July 5 to August 4.During this period, individuals whose names are missing from the electoral roll may submit claims through the BLOs for correction or inclusion.
She also stated that the draft electoral roll will be published on September 6, and appealed to the people of the district to verify whether their names are included in the draft roll and submit complaints or corrections in a timely manner if required.
The press conference was also attended by the Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), Sub-Deputy Collectors (SDCs), and officials of the Election Office.
