Painting competition to raise awareness on polo & pony

Imphal, October 25 2025: The Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association is organising a State level on the spot painting competition on Sunday, November 2 at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

Students between 14 and 20 years of age may participate in the competition.

The theme of the painting competition is "Manipur gave the world the game of Polo.

Save the Manipuri Pony" .

Ivory drawing papers of A3 size will be provided to the participants, who must submit their duly filled forms along with a photocopy of Aadhaar card and a registration fee of Rs 50, said the association.

Participants must bring their own painting materials.

The registration of the participants on the day of the competition will start at 9 am followed by the painting competition at 10 am.

Certificates and cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 will be awarded to the first, second and third position holders respectively.

There will be four consolation prizes of Rs 500 each.

The forms are available at the Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal Pologround between 2 pm and 4 pm every day till October 31 .
