Tamengong, August 25 2015:
Committee for Formation of ADC Tamengong (CFADC) on Tuesday said it would further intensify the ongoing agitation demanding the formation of the Council in the District.
Zeliangrong frontal organizations under the banner of CFADC Tamengong has been enforcing a total shut down of all government offices in the District including national projects since August 22 .
CFADC Convenor SP Athui told Hueiyen Lanpao that the Congress Government in Manipur has ignored the democratic form of agitation.
The committee will be compelled to launch a total blockade and resort to severe forms of agitation in a couple of days and the State Government will be held responsible for any untoward incidents thereafter, he warned.

"Zeliangrong people have limited temper, if the State Government continue to neglect the people, we will launch an intense total blockade in Tamenglong District and if the State Government brings in commandos in Tamenglong, we are ready to fight", Athui said.
He also sought to know the motive behind the State Government's reluctance and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam's silence over the issue of not installing ADC Tamenglong and Chandel districts.
Athui strongly condemned the State Government for neglecting the hill districts of Manipur particularly the Zeliangrong community.
"We are not demanding particular political party but Zeliangrong people want the ADC members to form a council like other Districts of Manipur", SP Athui rued.
Interestingly, all government offices in Tamenglong were shut down by the committee while the police teams were guarding the offices in Tamenglong.
In Tamei, CFADC along with Village Authority, Tamei Students Union, youth club and women society shut all the Government offices.
Zeliangrong Students' Union (ZSU), Tamenglong District in a press release expressed dismay with the delaying tactics of the Government of Manipur in the formation of ADC Tamenglong and Chandel.
The statement issued by Coordinator of Zeliangrong Students' Union Tamenglong said that even after repeated claims made by the Democratic Alliance, the Government has deliberately ignored the voice of the people.
ZSU said that the CFADC had launched their agitation but there had not been a single hint of response from the Government side.
The student body called upon the human rights activists and others to intervene into the matter.
"We will not remain a mere spectator but to resort to any form of democratic agitation along the CFADC until the wishes of the people are fulfilled", said ZSU.
