HSLC Examination 2026 begins in Senapati under tight vigil

Senapati, February 23 2026:
The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination, 2026, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) commenced smoothly in Senapati district on Monday under strict discipline and close supervision by the District Administration.
To ensure free and fair conduct of the examination, five flying squad teams constituted by the district administration, Senapati, and officials from Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) are monitoring the eight examination centres.
All candidates were frisked prior to entering the examination halls, and detailed instructions on filling up answer scripts were provided by the Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of the respective centres.
Speaking to the media at one of the examination centres, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Senapati, L Solomon stated that the examination is being conducted in a free and fair manner with proper guidelines issued to candidates.
He informed that the flying squads have been deployed to maintain strict vigil and ensure adherence to examination norms throughout the district.
The ZEO affirmed that the examination would continue under stringent discipline.
Washington Kho, General Secretary of SDSA, said that the student body has been inspecting various centres to support the administration in maintaining fairness and transparency.
He appealed to all candidates to appear for the examination with utmost sincerity.
Expressing satisfaction over the district administration's efforts, he hoped such coordinated measures would continue in the coming years.
Altogether, around 1600 candidates are appearing for the HSLC Examination, 2026 at eight examination centres in the district.
The centre-wise distribution included 166 candidates at Lao Radiant School, Karong; 231 candidates at Daikho Va School, Senapati; 220 at Bethany Hr Sec School; 191 at Don Bosco Hr Sec School, Maram; 154 at Sardar Patel High School, Mao; 154 at Mao Maram Hr Sec School, Tadubi; 258 at Purul Hr Sec and 222 at Paomata High School.
Two candidates under the Child With Special Needs (CWSN) category are also appearing for the examination at Bethany Hr.
Sec School, Senapati.
