Tamenglong College holds Induction Programme for freshers

Tamenglong, July 22 2026: Tamenglong College on Tuesday, organised an induction programme for newly admitted BA and BSc first-semester students for the academic session 2026-27 under the theme "Empowering New Beginnings".

The programme aimed to familiarise freshers with the academic System, institutional values and campus life, while helping them make a smooth transition into college education.

The programme was moderated by Changkhanliu Ngaomei, a fifth-semester BSc student.

N Rose Gonmei, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, delivered the welcome address, followed by the introduction of faculty members from various departments to the newly admitted students.

Speaking on the occasion, James Pamai, Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Examinations, explained the importance of creating an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID, key features of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and various examination-related matters.

Joint Coordinator, IQAC and Programme Coordinator, apprised the students of the Students' Code of Conduct and encouraged them to remain disciplined and focused while preparing for their future.

Dr Ninglu, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, urged the students to make productive use of digital opportunities and pursue their academic and career goals with dedication.

Principal Dr Kinthuijinang Marremei extended a warm welcome to the first-semester students and encouraged them to make the most of every opportunity for learning and personal growth.

He advised them to attend classes regularly, actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities, and maintain cordial relationships with teachers and fellow students for a meaningful and successful college life.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, leaving the newly admitted students motivated and well-informed as they embarked on their academic journey at Tamenglong College.
