Imphal, May 21 2026: The State Bank of India Staff Association (SBISA) Manipur Region has endorsed a 2-day Nationwide bank strike called by the All India State Bank of India Staff Federation on May 25 and May 26 .

The strike has been called demanding recruitment of adequate staff, recruitment of messengers, recruitment of armed guards, change of Pension Fund Manager option to NPS, inter circle transfers to employees, against outsourcing of permanent jobs, review of career progress scheme and many other issues.

Customers are encouraged to complete their financial transactions requiring branch visit at the earliest since the bank will remain closed on May 23 and 24 .

However, online banking services and ATM facilities will remain operational on these days, said the SBISA Manipur Region.
