Aid extended, medical camp held

Imphal, June 20 2025:
The villagers of Chikkim Veng in Tengnoupal district, who were severely affected by continuous heavy rainfall, were extended humanitarian aid.
The downpour triggered massive landslides, road blocks, and damage to essential water supply pipelines, causing immense hardship to the local population.
Authorities swiftly carried out active coordination with village authorities and undertook immediate clearance of blocked roads including use of plant machinery.
The villagers were also assisted in recovering and repairing damaged water pipelines.
Landslide-prone areas were monitored to prevent further risks to life and property.
On the other hand, a medical camp was conducted at Kangkap village in Churachandpur district on Friday with the aim to provide essential healthcare services to the villagers.
As part of the camp, primary medical assistance including health check-ups were provided and medicines distributed to those in need.
An awareness on hygiene and disease prevention was also conducted wherein a total of 136 residents were benefitted.
