Kakching, August 19 2025: In observance of World Humanitarian Day, 2025, the International Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kakching District Branch, distributed free hygiene kits to several Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and homes in Kakching district.

The distribution was led by IRCS Kakching District, chairman Dr M Rajkumar; Vice-president N Devendra; and Secretary in-charge Naorem Jiten.

They were joined by Kshetrimayum Surjit, Co-ordinator of IRCS Kakching District Youth Red Cross & Junior Red Cross, who also serves as a member of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kakching along with other IRCS life members.

The hygiene kits were handed over to the children of BDS Children Home for Girls, Keirak; Morning Star Children Home for Boys, Keirak; Kulla & Ibellei Children Home for Girls, Pallel; HFAO - Thambal Children Home for Girls, Arong Khunou; and to the senior residents of the Senior Citizen Home for Older Women, Thongjao.
