Senapati Police conclude week-long cyber awareness campaign

Senapati, July 19 2026:
Senapati DistrictPolice successfully conducted a week-long Cyber Awareness Programme across schools and colleges in the district as part of the Manipur Police Cyber Awareness Week observed from July 13 to 18 .
During the campaign, all police stations under Senapati District Police visited educational institutions to educate students and faculty members on emerging cyber threats and safe online practices.
The awareness sessions focused on cyber crime trends, online financial frauds, social media safety, cyber hygiene and the importance of promptly reporting cyber offences.
Police personnel also explained preventive measures to help participants protect themselves from digital scams and cyber attacks.
The campaign concluded on July 18 with a special Cyber Awareness Programme held at the Conference Hall of the Superintendent of Police, Senapati, in collaboration with NIELIT Senapati.
On the occasion, SubInspector Ranee Abraham of Senapati District Police delivered a presentation on the latest cyber crime trends and challenges, the nature of cyber crime complaints received in the district, and highlighted the achievements of the district police in tackling cyber offences.
D Elia, Guest Faculty at NIELIT Senapati, conducted an interactive session on malicious cyber attacks, phishing and cyber security best practices.
Participants also received hands-on training on securing mobile phones and safeguarding personal digital information.
The week-long campaign reached a large number of students across the district, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills to stay safe in the digital environment.
