Blood donation, health camp conducted

The Doctor Cell, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) organised a "One Day Health Camp" today at Wangkhei Puja Community Hall, Imphal.
The health camp was conducted with the support of Wangkhei Block Congress Committee and Chief Medical Officer, Imphal East.
Speaking to media persons, MPCC president K Meghachandra said that the health camp was conducted to address the health concerns of the people who were affected by the recent floods.
He asserted that the recent floods left a trail of destruction across the Imphal valley, many residential areas were induandated forced the people to take shelter at relief camps.
He also expressed disappointment over the State Government's handling of the flood situation and alleged that the Government did not take any preventive steps before the onset of the monsoon season.
Furthermore, K Meghachandra urged the Government to provide adequate compensation and take necessary steps to address the long-term needs of affected communities.
Moreover, the MPCC also organised a blood donation camp at RIMS Hospital, Imphal today on the occasion of AU India Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's birthday.
The camp was held as a tribute to Rahul Gandhi's unwavering commitment to public service and humanitarian values.
