Imphal, August 17 2025: In two separate operations, security forces arrested three drug smugglers and recovered a total of 369 grams of heroin yesterday, The three arrested have been identified as Md Arub Khan Iphan alias Khansa (26) of Kwakta Khuman Ward No 5; Md Najeruddin alias Babu Phisubam (42) and Md Altab Khan alias Boy Moijingmayum (31)--both residents of Kwakta Ward No 8, Bishnupur district.

Md Arub Khan Iphan was arrested from Kwakta Sabal Leikai along NH-2 Tiddim Road.

From his possession, security forces seized ten cases of heroin weighing 113 grams, said the police.

Along with the heroin, the police also seized one four wheeler vehicle and a mobile phone from his possession.

The two other smugglers, Md Najeruddin and Md Altab Khan were arrested from Kwakta Terakhongshangbi Bazar along NH-02, Tiddim Road.

From their possessions, the security forces seized 22 soap cases containing heroin powder, weighing 256 grams, one four wheeler vehicle and two mobile phones.
