Khongnangthaba University supports reopening of JNIMS after flood

The Khongnangthaba University has played a significant role in making it possible for Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) to reopen in a timely manner after the recent floods which ravaged the State.
"With JNIMS recommencing its health services today, the determined spirit and cooperation of the Khongnangthaba University community are a shining example of the strength of unity in adversity", said Khongnangthaba University in a release.
As a response to the imperative of restoration and sanitation at JNIMS, more than 200 students and employees at Khongnangthaba University gave their time and effort to a mass social service campaign on the hospital rooms.
The volunteer workforce consisted of university administrative personnel, faculty members, and students from the College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and College of Paramedical under the KMNI .
The social service campaign was carried out in close coordination with the JNIMS administration and faculty.
Volunteers participated in extensive cleaning and disinfecting exercises throughout hospital wards, and patient care areas.
They covered waste disposal, mopping, sweeping, orderly disposition of medical equipment, and creation of hygienic conditions to facilitate the safe resumption of services.
The University also extended its sincere gratitude to all the volunteers and staff members who worked towards this noble endeavour.
