The Skill Development Training Programme titled "Right Skill, Bright Future" concluded on January 16, 2026 at Pallel Garrison, Kakching District, marking another milestone in empowering the youth of Manipur.
Conducted by REACHA Foundation in partnership with IIFL Foundation and Tata Strive, and facilitated by Assam Rifles through infrastructure and logistical support, the initiative has become a beacon of hope for local communities.
According to IGAR (South), the threemonth training focused on hospitality skills such as Front Office Operations and Homestay Host, equipping participants with industry-relevant competencies to enhance employability and self-confidence.
The first batch of 50 trainees successfully completed the programme in October 2025, securing internships and jobs in Ahmedabad, Surat and Goa.
The second batch, concluding today, has achieved even greater success, with all 50 participants gaining internships and direct employment at prestigious establishments including Hotel Vijan Mahal, Jabalpur, Trident Hotel, Bandra and W Hotel, Goa.
The programme has not only created sustainable livelihood opportunities but also fostered inclusivity and strengthened community harmony.
By engaging youth from diverse communities, it has served as a platform for unity, bridging divides and steering young minds away from unemployment and its associated risks.
The felicitation ceremony was held with great enthusiasm, where certificates were awarded to all participants in the presence of senior officials of Assam Rifles, instructors, REACHA management and dignitaries from supporting companies.
