Chief Justice visits relief camp in Bishnupur

Imphal, May 15 2025:
A team of judges led by Manipur High Court Chief Justice D Krishnakumar on Thursday visited a relief camp in Bishnupur district, and distributed relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) staying at the camp.
According to a statement released by Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASL-SA), Chief Justice Krishnakumar was accompanied by MASLSA executive chairman Justice A Bimol and Justice A Guneshwar Sharma during the visit to the relief camp opened at Moirang Khunou Maning Leikai where they interacted with the IDPs and distributed essential relief items.
A free medical camp was also organised for the relief camp residents in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bishnupur.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice A Bimol informed that members of the judicial fraternity in the state have been personally contributing and providing relief materials to IDPs in continuation of the legal services and free medical camp launched by Supreme Court Judge and NALSA executive chairman Justice BR Gavai on March 22 to ensure all relief camps in Manipur are covered under this humanitarian initiative.
The visit was also joined by Manipur High Court registrar general Ojesh Mutum, DLSA, Imphal East chairperson N Lanleima, MASLSA member secretary Alek Muivah, Bishnupur DLSA chairperson N Keertichand Singh, Bar Council of Manipur chairman S Brajabihari, High Court Bar Association president Y Ni-molchand and All Manipur Bar Association president P Tomcha Meitei, along with other officials including Bishnupur ADC, Moirang SDO, Bishnupur CMO, and doctors among others.
