Workshop / production of "Lila Kirtan in Manoharshai" concludes

Imphal, July 13 2025: A 30-day workshop cum production of "Lila Kirtan in Manoharshai (Krishna Roop)" organised by Manipuri Manoharshai Ashram concluded today at Ramji Prabhu Mandop, Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal.

The workshop cum production was conducted under the Cultural Function and Production Grant (CFPG) Scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The closing function was graced by dignitaries, including Dr Takhellambam Irabot Singh, spokesperson, Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Cultural Foundation; Brajabashimayum Gopal Sharma, Manipur State Kala Awardee and visiting Guru (Rass), Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA); and Khwairakpam Yaimabi Devi, Manipur State Kala Awardee and retired Guru (Rass), JNMDA.

At the event, the dignitaries called for collective effort to preserve & promote the dying art forms of Manipur like Manoharshai.

They also highlighted the role of the people and Government in developing the age-old cultural heritage preserved & bestowed by die ancestors.

The closing function was marked by the presentation of "Lila Kirtan in Manoharshai (Krishna Roop)" by the Manhorsai Nupa Pala and Manoharshai Nupi Pala.
