"One Cadet One Tree" campaign organised

Imphal, July 13 2024: The National Cadet Corps (NCC), 14 Manipur Battalion, of Imphal Group under aegis of NCC Directorate NER has embarked on an ambitious tree plantation campaign "One Cadet One Tree", in collaboration with the Central Forest Department on the final day of NCC Combined Annual Training Camp at DM University Campus, Modem College and Imphal College on July 13, 2024 .

The campaign was organised under the supervision of Col N Gojendra Singh, Commanding Officer, 14 Manipur Bn NCC, said a release.

The "One Cadet One Tree" campaign was organised with an aim to foster environmental consciousness among cadets and promote sustainable practices through active participation in afforestation efforts.

The event was followed by a cleanliness drive of the surrounding camp area.

Dr M Bhubaneshwari Devi, Principal DM College of Science and Ganesh, Divisional Forest Officer along with his team also participated in the campaign.

Later, the 14 Manipur Battalion NCC successfully concluded its annual camp with a closing address delivered by Col N Gojendra Singh.

Col N Gojendra Singh commended the cadets for their outstanding performance and dedication during the camp.

He emphasized the importance of the values instilled by the NCC, including Unity and Discipline.

The Commanding Officer also expressed gratitude to the instructors and staff for their tireless efforts in mentoring and guiding the cadets.

The camp, which was organised from July 7 to 13, 2024 at DM College of Science campus, saw the participation of enthusiastic cadets who showcased exemplary discipline, teamwork, and commitment throughout the event.

The closing ceremony concluded with the NCC song and National Anthem.
