JIMPAL celebrates 23rd foundation day

Jiribam, November 09 2025: The Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Lup (JIMPAL), Jiribam celebrated its 23rd foundation today with great enthusiasm at the JIMPAL Conference Hall in Babupara, Jiribam.

The event was attended by Jiribam Zilla Parishad former chairperson, Kh Janaki Devi; JIMPAL president Longjam Bimola Devi; JIMPAL advisor T Muktakhombi Devi, H Gambhini Devi; social worker Nameirakpam Budhachandra Singh; Jiri Development Organisation president Elangbam Dewan Singh; and 38 Assam Rifles Commanding Officer, Prashant Singh Chundawat, among others as presidium members.

As part of the celebration, the dignitaries were honoured and presented with Namphi shawls by the organisers.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, followed by the hoisting of the JIMPAL flag.

Later, the gathering, led by the dignitaries, paid floral tributes to the portraits of late members of the organisation, acknowledging their dedication and sacrifice for the cause of women and society.

The programme also included a special segment where Meira Paibis from various villages of Jiribam were honoured with gifts in recognition of their contributions toward maintaining peace, harmony, and social welfare in the community.
