NSS Cell, MU releases "NSS Newsletter"

The NSS Cell, Manipur University released the NSS Newsletter (Vol 1, Issue 1: March-April 2026) today at 11:30 am at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, MU.
The newsletter was formally released by the Vice-Chancellor Prof N Lokendra Singh.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr Dalip Singh, Programme Officer, NSS Unit-IV, MU, and was presided over by Prof L Santosh Singh, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, MU .
In his address, Prof Santosh Singh described the newsletter as a landmark and pioneering initiative the first of its kind in Manipur and the North Eastern region and noted that it is envisioned as a monthly publication.
He emphasized that it serves as a vital platform for institutional reflection, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while promoting selfappraisal and accountability among NSS Programme Officers and volunteers by highlighting activities, achievements, and societal impact He further added that it will reflect future goals and the visionary direction of the National Service Scheme, fostering a shared sense of purpose.
The newsletter features articles, activity reports, and notable achievements of NSS volunteers and Programme Officers for March and April 2026 .
Delivering his address as the chief guest Prof N Lokendra Singh appreciated the initiative of the NSS Cell and commended the dedicated efforts of the Programme Coordinator, Prof Laishram Santosh Singh, along with all Programme Officers involved in bringing out the newsletter.
He extended his best wishes for the continued success of future editions.
As a mark of respect and appreciation, the Programme Coordinator and Programme Officers of the NSS Cell, MU, presented a token of love along with a traditional shawl to the Vice-Chancellor.
The programme was attended by several Programme Officers of the NSS Cell, Manipur University, including Dr Kh Herachandra Singh (Unit-I), Dr N Suraj Singh (Unit-III), and other Programme Officers from affiliated colleges.
