AZSU-AMN appeals for peace

Imphal, May 05 2025: The All Zeliangrong Students' Union Assam, Manipur and Nagaland(AZSU-AMN) has expressed its deep concern over the recent violent clash between Inrianglong and Dailong villages over a land dispute, which resulted in multiple injuries.

The AZSU-AMN in a release has stated that the people of the Zeliangrong community have endured enough suffering from many issues, and cannot afford to create more problems among the community.

Stating that differences must be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding, the AZSU-AMN said that "the path of peace is the only forward in resolving the differences".

The AZSU-AMN has therefore appealed to the peace-loving citizens of Inrianglong and Dailong to refrain from further violence and to give "peace a chance" .

The Union also urges the District Administration to promptly initiate extra efforts in a timely manner so that lasting peace reigns and normalcy is restored in Tamenglong.
