Two Manipur education officers receive NIEPA innovation awards

Imphal, September 04 2026: Assistant Director, Directorate of Education (S) Leishangthem Kamala and Zonal Education Officer Bishnupur Atom Gunamani have been conferred the Innovation and Good Practices in Educational Administration Award 2023-24 and 2024-25 by National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) .

The awards, instituted for education officers at grassroot District and Block levels, were presented during a programme organised by the Department of Educational Administration at NIEPA, New Delhi from September 2 to 3 .

Leishangthem Kamala was awarded under the category Initiatives for Holistic Development of Students, while Atom Gunamani received the award under Initiatives for Enhancing Student Participation and Better Functioning of Schools.

The awards comprised a shawl, memento and certificate.
