KVK Imphal West honours progressive fish farmer Salam Rohendro Singh

Imphal, December 03 2025: ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Imphal West felicitated Salam Rohendro Singh, Progressive Fish Farmer of Imphal West District, Manipur, in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the 100th Common Foundation Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

As per a release issued by KVK Imphal West, Rohendro Singh delivered an insightful and highly interactive session to the Officer Trainees on November 18, 2025, highlighting practical innovations and success stories in fisheries development and rural entrepreneurship.

Invited by LBSNAA to share his first-hand experiences, Rohendro Singh spoke on the emerging opportunities in fish farming, sustainable rural livelihoods, and the transformational role of progressive farmers in community development.

His presentation was widely appreciated by the Officer Trainees and faculty for its clarity, depth, and inspiring content.

The session effectively demonstrated how grassroots innovations can contribute to national developmental priorities and strengthen the agricultureadministration interface.

As a mark of gratitude for his gracious participation and unwavering support, KVK Imphal West presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Rohendro Singh.

KVK Imphal West also extended heartfelt appreciation to all Course Coordinators of the 90-Day Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) Programme, conducted from September 1, 2025 to November 29; 2025, for their dedication, coordination, and commitment to promoting hands-on learning for agricultural students.

The programme was chaired by Dr Ch Basudha Devi, HORC, ICAR Manipur Centre, and hosted by Dr Laishram Kanta Singh, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK Imphal West.
