Thoubal, September 02 2024: Centre For Social Inclusion (CSSI), Manipur University and IQAC, Thoubal College jointly organised a lecture program on "Land Laws and Inclusive Development" at Thoubal College today.

The lecture program was conducted as a part of the ongoing fortnightly lecture series hosted by CSSI, Manipur University.

During the program, Professor E Bijoykumar Singh, Department of Economics, MU and former Director, CSSI, MU delivered a lecture on "Socio Economic condition of the Meiteis in Manipur" while Dr Benjamin Gangmei, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Political Science, United College, Chandel spoke about "Traditional Land ownership & rights among the hill tribes of Manipur" .

An interaction session between the resource persons and the participating students was also conducted.

The program was graced by Professor Damodar Nepram, Director CSSI, MU as the functionary president; Dr M Bina Devi, Principal, Thoubal College as the chief guest and research scholars of CSSI, MU, teachers of Thoubal College and students.
