The Manipur Recruitment Training Centre (MRTC) in Canchipur hailed 25 local youth for securing spots in the Indian Army and CAPFs during a spirited felicitation ceremony at its premises.
Dignitaries, trainees, and families gathered to celebrate MRTC's pivotal role in delivering affordable, intensive training that turns aspirations into reality.
At the event, retired Colonel Shantikumar Sapam praised the centre's nominal fees for democratizing defence careers.
He highlighted Army perks, including 75% reservation for Agniveers in permanent roles after four years and family medical benefits.
MRTC founder Retired Major Maibam London addressed challenges for Meitei youth in OBC and General categories, who face stiff nationwide competition for infantry posts.
He stressed that the Indian Army, as a disciplined force, offers the best opportunities for youth to join central services without financial barriers.
He shared that 25 individuals from Manipur, including 21 from MRTC, were selected in the recent Indian Army Territorial Army recruitment drive.
Adding to this, 4 secured spots in the Central Police, taking the centre's total to 25 successful candidates this year.
Other attendees included Retired Indian Coast Guard Oinam Marjit, Lieutenant Colonel SR Singh, and Major Dayanand Narongbam.
