Imphal, March 31 2026: A 10-day "Thang Chunggoi Yannaba Workshop cum Production" has wrapped up today at Pathou Thang-Ta Performing Art Centre, Keirao Bitra Makha, Litan Makhong.

The workshop was organised by the centre from March 22 .

The closing ceremony was attended by Yensembam Angou, president Manipur Integrated Cultural Centre; O Joy, president, Oriental Martial Arts Singjamei; Louriyam Thaba Leima, Manipur State Kala Akademi awardee as the chief guest, guest of honour and functional president.

At the event, performances of Thang Chunggoi Yannaba, Thang Leiteng Haiba, Ta Khousaba etc were showcased before the gathering.

Separately, a showcase of LAAMAN Thang-Ta's 2nd brand new production "Khutning Marol" was presented today at Neinasang Community Hall at Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

According to a press release, the showcase was organised to uplift the artform of Thang-Ta and show the people how the ancestors used to defend themselves from enemies without any weapons.

Terming the showcase of Khutning Marol as a Sajel (exercise), LAAMAN Thang-Ta also noted the health benefits of practising Thang-Ta regularly.
