Workshop on 'Children's Theatre' kicks off

Bishnupur, May 30 2025: A month-long workshop on "Children's Theatre" was kicked off at Old DC Office Complex, Loukoipat, Bishnupur on Thursday.

The workshop is organised by the National School of Drama, New Delhi in collaboration with Potshangbam Tomba Legacy Theatre.

The workshop will conclude on June 27, 2025.The initiative aims to provide a platform for children residing in relief camps to explore their artistic talents, develop their personalities, and acquire valuable skills.

Through a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and performances, the children will be guided by experienced faculty members to discover their creative potential and build their confidence.

The workshop will focus on various aspects of theatre, including acting, dance, music and stagecraft.

Under the expert guidance of Mayengbam Sunil Singh, workshop director, and Hidangmayum Darabari Sharma, assistant director, the children will learn to express themselves creativity, develop their communication skills, and work collaboratively as a team.

The closing day of the workshop on June 27 will feature a special performance by the children, showcasing their talents and creativity.
