Imphal, April 28:
Closed on the heels of the Hepatitis outbreak in Churachandpur district, 16 Assam Rifles recently immunised nearly 1200 children in a medical camp organised from April 27 to 28 at Namduanjang and Tupul villages.
Children from Namduangjang, Marangching I, II, III and IV, Tupul, Charoi Chakotlong I and II, Charoi Pantangba I, II and III were vaccinated during the two-day camp.
Another such camp would also be organised on May 3 at Khumji for the villages of Nonei, Khumji, Likhambi, Nungtek Haochang, Yeirong, Kabui Khullen and Bakua.
The estimated expenditure of the vaccines and syringes was around Rs 215000, said a release of PRO IGAR (South).
