Many join Congress in Andro AC

Imphal, July 27 2026:
Several residents from polling stations in Tulihal Minority Muslim Village, Andro Assembly Constituency, joined the Indian National Congress on Monday.
The joining programme was held at WPC Ground, Angtha Maning Leikai and hosted by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee secretary and former Imphal East District president K Tombi.
Former MLA and MPCC treasurer Md Fajur Rahim, vice presidents Bidyapati Senjam and K Tilotama, general secretary N Popilal and other Congress leaders attended.
Speaking at the event, Md Fajur Rahim said Congress' strength is growing daily in Manipur and people have lost faith in BJP rule.
He claimed 80% of Muslim voters support Congress and urged them to ensure Congress' victory in Andro AC in the 13 th Assembly election.
K Tombi said he will work to develop Andro AC as a peaceful and progressive constituency.
Leaders including N Popilal and K Tilotama criticised BJP policies and called for strengthening Congress to safeguard Manipur.
