AMDSO observes 3rd foundation day with Educational awareness programme

Thoubal, July 25 2026: The All Manipur Democratic Students' Organisation (AMDSO) observed its 3rd foundation day-cum-educational awareness programme at Lilong Haoreibi College Multipurpose Hall on Saturday, marking three years since the organisation was established.

The programme was attended by Manipur University Department of Manipuri Assistant Professor Dr Naorem Sanatomba Singh; Waqf Board Manipur Project Officer Md Tajuddin; AMDSO president WM Zakir Hussain; Reformist Students' Front (RSF) president-in-charge Huidrom Open Singh; United Meitei Pangal Committee (UMPC) vice-president and All India Tanzeem-E-Insaaf national secretary, who is also an advisor to AMDSO, Md Islauddin; Kanglei Yelhou Cheingak president Nongthombam Sanahal Singh; and Islamic Higher Secondary School, Lilong, principal Rishikanta Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, AMDSO president WM Zakir Hussain said the organisation is committed to creating an environment where students can pursue education peacefully while upholding civil rights and democratic socialism.

He said AMDSO would always stand against injustice and discrimination and work for the rights and welfare of students and the public.

He further stated that the organisation, with the collective support of students and the public, would work wholeheartedly towards preserving and safeguarding the territorial integrity of the motherland.
