Imphal, September 22 2025:
In an effort to ensure proper execution and quality of ongoing development works, the Maram Union conducted a two-day inspection of construction projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) scheme, including the Anganwadi centres (AWCs) and Multipurpose Halls (MPCs).
According to a release from the Maram Union, the inspection covered 12 AWCs at Tumuyon Khullen village, which are now in their final stages.
The works were found to be satisfactory, with the Union appreciating the technical team of Kangpokpi District Administration and DC Mahesh Chaudari for their consistent monitoring.
During the review of hostels (Boys & Girls) at Katomei and Maram Khullen, the Union highlighted the need for technical team support to examine the quality and components of concrete mixtures and other related works to ensure steady progress without compromising standards.
The Union further noted that while some MPCs spread across Maram villages are progressing at a fast pace, others remain at the foundational stage.
It called upon all concerned villages to coordinate and cooperate with the concerned departments, strictly adhere to construction timelines, and uphold quality benchmarks.
Stressing the significance of PM-JANMAN, the Union emphasized that the scheme is a time-bound, one-time package designed to uplift the marginalized PVTG (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group) communities in the State.
It urged villagers to treat the works as their own assets and remain vigilant in monitoring the progress of the works.
