Training programme on "Improved Citrus Production Technology" conducted

Attaining programme on "Improved Citrus Production Technology" was successfully conducted at the conference hall of the Directorate of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur in Sanjenthong, Imphal.
The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur and ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute (CRRI), Nagpur, Maharashtra in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Center.
The programme was graced by dignitaries, including Thaithuilung Pamei, Commissioner/Secretary, Horticulture & Soil Conservation; Yeite Khupsorel Koireng, Joint Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation; Dr SS Roy, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur; and Dr Darshan Kadam, Scientist.

In the technical session, Dr RK Roshan, SMS(Horticulture), Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tamenglong delivered a lecture on the topic "Improved Production Technology for Citrus in North East India" while Dr A Ratankumar, Senior Scientist, ICAR Manipur Center elaborated on "Integrated Disease Management for Citrus" and Dr N Johnson, SMS(Plant Protection), KVK Churachandpur spoke on "Rejuvenation Technology for Tamenglong Mandarin and Katchai Lemon".
Interaction session between trainees and experts, and distribution of certificates to the trainees were the other highlights of the event.
