Sofia English School observes 'Great June Uprising Day'

Thoubal, June 19 2025: Sofia English School, Thoubal observed "The Great June Uprising Day, 2025" at its school complex on Wednesday.

The event was co-hosted by Group-7, 4th Semester (2023-25), and Group-1, 2nd Semester (2024-26), of the Institute of Rural Education (IRE) College of Teacher's Education, Wangjing, as part of the Internship and school exposure programme.

The event was attended by Sofia English School, Headmaster Ak Jugeshwor, Assistant Headmaster Okram Udoi, IRE member, Ajitkumar as the presidium members.

The gathering offered floral tributes to the portraits of the 18 martyrs and observed a two-minute silence in their honour.

During the observance, a painting and a essay competition was also organised.
