Piku Chalai awarded SBI Chairman's Club Award

In a first for North East, SBI Maram Branch Manager K Piku Chalai has been conferred the SBI Chairman's Club Award in Mumbai.
K Piku Chalai (39) is the son of Kashiprii Chalai, a native of Emesiiphro village, Senapati district.
The award is given in recognition of his tireless and creative efforts in taking forward the "Yes I can change" SBI campaign in different places of postings.
Piku Chalai is the youngest brother of former NEC Secretary, senior IAS officer, Moses Chalai who is now Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Govt of India.

Piku is among five SBI employees picked from the whole country and the only one from North East India.
The award includes a citation, cash incentives and family stay at the iconic Taj Hotel at Mumbai.
The Chairman's Club Award for "Yes I can change campaign" was instituted in 2022 .
Piku Chalai is the first and only person from the North East to have won the award.
Piku's journey as an SBI employee began at the Lairouching Branch office, where he made it a public friendly office.
He was then posted at Senapati Branch, where he made significant changes to make the branch people friendly.
