AHPI Manipur champions community-driven healthcare leadership, launches HELP Chapter

The 2nd AHPICON NE II 2026, organised by the AHPI Manipur State Chapter, was successfully held today at the IMA Auditorium, Lamphelpat, with participation from AHPI Manipur Chapter members and healthcare leaders from across the State.
The conference centred on the theme "Community Engaging Healthcare Leadership", underscoring the importance of collaborative, people-centred approaches in strengthening healthcare delivery in Manipur.
The inaugural session was graced by dignitaries, including Prof W Chandbabu Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Dhanamanjuri University; Dr Krishnananda Samurailatpam Sharma, Advisor to Chief Minister; Dr Palin Khundongbam, President, AHPI Manipur Chapter; Dr James Elangbam.
Secretary, AHPI Manipur Chapter; and Dr Moirangthem Achumba, Treasurer, AHPI Manipur Chapter.
The ceremony included the felicitation of dignitaries and a symbolic plant-watering initiative, reflecting a collective commitment toward sustainable and community-responsive healthcare systems.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr James Elangbam highlighted the growing need for leadership, partnerships, and community engagement in addressing evolving healthcare challenges in the State.
He also highlighted the Association's activities since its inception in 2020, including multiple awareness camps and mass COVID-19 vaccinations.
Dr Palin Khundongbam reaffirmed AHPI's commitment to advancing quality, safety, and equitable healthcare through collective leadership across Manipur and the Northeast.
A key highlight of the programme was the announcement of the newly elected office bearers of the AHPI Manipur Chapter and the formal introduction of the Health and Environment Leadership Platform (HELP) Manipur Chapter, reflecting a forward-looking agenda aligned with sustainable and climate-responsive healthcare priorities.
The conference featured engaging panel discussions and academic deliberations focusing on leadership innovation, patient-centred care, quality frameworks, and emerging public-health priorities relevant to Manipur.
