Imphal, August 14 2025: In connection with the 79th Manipur Independence Day, Democratic Peoples Front (DPF) organised the '7th Blood,eyeandorgan donation camp' at Wangkhei Angom Leikai Community Hall today.

The camp was conducted in collaboration with BABINA Blood Centre, Association of Voluntary Blood Donors and its affiliated organisations with a focus on raising awareness and encouraging participation in these life-saving initiatives.

The event began with the hoisting of a flag embossed with Ebudhou Pakhangba by Dr Narengbam Rajivkumar, president of DPF.

It was followed by plantation of tree saplings in the surrounding areas of WAL United Youths' Club.

Prof Brojen Akoijam of Community Medicine Department, RIMS, Imphal and Yambem Premchand, president of Lions Club of Imphal Kangla attended the programme as dignitaries.

Moreover, Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) also organised a blood donation camp under the theme "Anouba Lang-on gi Kathoklaba Ee" at RIMS Hospital, Imphal today in connection with the 79th Manipur Independence Day.

The camp was organised in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal.

Altogether, 50 members of MAYOL donated their blood during the camp.
