Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme concludes

A 45-day entrepreneurship and skill development programme for women on "Crochet Traditional Dolls and Soft Toy Making" concluded today at the Naoremthong, Imphal West district.
The programme was organised by the MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Imphal, Ministry of MSME, Government of India in association with North East Women Entrepreneurs Association (Manipur Chapter).
The valedictory function was graced by Manoj Sharma, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Imphal; Kangabam Bijaya Chanu, President, NEWEA (Manipur Chapter); trainers Nimshim Raleng and Ikra Raleng; Sunil Yumnam and Ashinikumar from Vegnus Group.
The Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme, which commenced on August 29, was aimed at imparting necessary skills to the unemployed people.
During the 45 days long programme, participants were imparted training on various aspects of making crochet traditional dolls and soft toys by the faculty/trainers from Ukhrul and Imphal districts.
Apart from theory and practical classes, motivational and awareness sessions on various schemes of the Central Government were also conducted.
The training sessions were taken by master trainers Kangabam Bijaya Chanu, Ikra Raleng and Nimshim Raleng.
During the valedictory function, certificates were distributed to 25 successful participants and "Baby Gift Hampers" specially developed with the products manufactured during the programme were also launched.
