Legal awareness programme conducted

The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), General Headquarters, successfully conducted a 1-Day Legal Awareness Programme at Chingkhulong Village Community Hall, Imphal West, on Sunday.
As per a release issued by TYCM, the programme was organised in collaboration with the Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal West.
During the programme, R Daniel Ramsan, Senior Advocate, High Court of Manipur, spoke on "Tribal Rights", highlighting the entitlements and facilities available to tribals.
Jangdimliu Gonmei, Advocate, High Court of Manipur, elaborated on "The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989".R Daniel Ramsan and Jangdimliu Gonmei also conducted an interactive session with the participants, addressing their legal queries and concerns.
The programme was graced by Shapu Kamei, Khulak of Chingkhulong Village; Merachao Panmei, Khunbu of Chingkhulong Village; and Momo Tantanga, president, TYCM General Headquarters as presidium members.
The event was moderated by Namlungsiliu Wisonnamai, while Dinglin Kamei, president of the Chingkhulong Youth Club, delivered the vote of thanks.
The programme witnessed active participation from village leaders, youth club leaders, women society leaders, and community members.
