Imphal, February 12: Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU) would be observing artist day on February 18 at 1.30 pm at Manipur Dramatic Union Hall where floral tributes would be given to all the departed artists of proscenium theatre.

A renowned dramatist, Naorem Kalimohan Singh would grace the occasion as chief guest, while MSKA awardee, Elangbam Birkumar Singh would be the guest of honour of the function which would be presided over by chairman advisory board of MDU Akham Khirgopal.

A special reception would also be hosted for 2006 MSKA awardee Khetrimayum Ibohal, 2007 Padmashree awardee Heisnam Savetri and 2007 Sangit Natrak Akademi awardee Yumnam Rajendra Singh.

The bio data along with a photograph of departed artists (if any, counting from February 2007 till date) who were associated with drama organisations may be submitted to the office of MDU on or before February 15, informed a release issued by a committee member of artist day celebration, Dr A Kholchandra Singh welcoming all drama lovers to the programme.
