30th Scientific Advisory Committee meeting of KVK Senapati
focuses on strengthening farmer supports systems

Senapati, February 11 2026:
The 30th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Senapati, under ICAR ATARI Zone VII-Umiam Meghalaya, was held on Wednesday at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.
The meeting was hosted by FEEDS, Manipur, the host institute of KVK, Senapati.
Delivering the welcome and keynote address, Dr N Jyotsa, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Senapati highlighted the vital role of KVK in identifying farmers' challenges and delivering solutions through scientific interventions.
She described KVK as a crucial resource centre that disseminates agricultural and technological knowledge across departments for the benefit of farming communities The SAC meeting, she said, is organised with the core objective of ensuring longterm benefits for farmers in the district.
Chairman of the SAC meeting, Kimjaneng Kipgen, Secretary FEEDS, noted that despite facing numerous challenges over the past two and a half years, KVK Senapati overcame many hurdles with the support of various sectors.
She commended the resilience and continued progress of the centre.
Dr AK Singha, Principal Scientist, ICAR- ATARI Zone VII, and Dr I Bhupenchandra Deputy Director extension, CAU Imphal, also addressed the gathering virtually.
Various line departments of KVK highlighted annual report 2025 and annual action plan 2026.Departments including horticulture, plant protection, animal science, fisheries, forestry and agriculture outlined their progress and future targets.
In the closing remark Prof Angad Prasad, Head Department of Agricultural Extension College of Agriculture, CAU Imphal, and Dr Manoj Pandey, Senior Scientist and Head of ICAR-KVK Churachandpur, provided recommendations to improve the department and enhance farmers income.
The programme was attended by various line departments, farmers, social workers, lead bank staff, public and others.
