Congress mars democracy : Kim Gangte

Imphal, February 11, 2011: Congress is defying democracy and indulging in dirty politics of buying votes to rule the state alleged Kim Gangte, President, Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress today in an election campaign held at Yurembam Awang Leikai for its candidate Konthoujam Sarat in the bye election which is to be held on February 14. Speaking in the occasion, Kim Gangte said that Trinamool Congress aims at reforming the present rule of Congress which defies many aspects of democracy.

The symbol of the party indicates that flowers may be bloom from grasses.

She urged the people of Konthoujam Assembly Constituency to support her party and cast their votes for its candidate K Sarat for a reformation in the present rule of the Congress led government.

She alleged the Congress party of playing dirty politics and said it had even criticized the MPTC is a party led by woman.

But MPTC is not keen in sub standard politics, she said.

The women and the youth have to become major partners in today's politics.

That is why every political party is establishing their frontal organisations for women and youths.

Kim Gangte appealed to the people of the constituency to support Sarat for a change from the grass root level.
