Lead Intelligence Agencies meeting convened

Headquarters 10 Sector Assam Rifles convened a Lead Intelligence Agencies (LIA) meeting today to review the prevailing security situation in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts and to strengthen coordination among sister agencies.
The meeting was chaired by the DIG, 10 Sector Assam Rifles and was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul, Superintendent of Police Ukhrul, representatives of Police and Intelligence agencies, Commandants of all units under the Sector, and staff officers from the headquarters, said a press release by the Assam Rifles.
The forum provided a platform for comprehensive deliberations on recent developments in the area of responsibility and issues affecting peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, the stakeholders discussed the refugee situation, enforcement of Government orders and measures to curb illegal trade, with emphasis on building synergy through timely information exchange and coordinated action.
The interaction facilitated sharing of inputs and perspectives, enhancing situational awareness and reinforcing institutional linkages between civil administration, police, intelligence agencies and security forces.
The active participation of all stakeholders highlighted the importance of mutual trust and seamless cooperation in addressing contemporary challenges.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to further strengthen inter-agency cohesion and maintain close coordination to safeguard peace and stability across Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, said the release.
