UDYAM registration drive benefits over 70 villagers at Chingai

Ukhrul, September 08 2025:
The District Industry Centre (DIC) of Ukhrul and Kamjong successfully conducted a one-day UDYAM registration drive at Chingai village community hall for villages under Chingai Block.
Speaking on the occasion, SDO Chingai Block Roland Ningshen highlighted the importance of UDY AM registration in enabling entrepreneurs and small business owners to access government-sponsored schemes and loans to expand and upgrade their businesses.
The registration drive was organised under the Rising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, a central sector scheme of the Ministry of MSME supported by the World Bank.
DIC Manager, Ukhrul, Themreiyo T Awungshi informed that a similar registration drive will soon be held in Kamjong district to ensure that all interested persons get registered under UDYAM.
He stated that a recognition certificate and a unique number awarded by the Government will be provided to all individuals registered under UDYAM.
The resource persons during the event, informed participants about various government schemes, the importance of credit linkage with banks, and loan recovery, etc, for running start-up enterprises.
A total of 10 participants received their UDYAM certificates on the spot.
The drive witnessed an encouraging response with over 70 individuals successfully registering under UDYAM at Chingai village.
