Cyclothon organised to mark World Hypertension Day 2025

Thoubal, July 06 2025: As part of the observance of World Hypertension Day 2025, the NCD Cell of the District Health Society Thoubal organised a cyclothon from the CMO Office Complex Thoubal to Khongjom War Memorial Complex.

The event was held under the theme "Measure your blood pressure accurately, control it, live longer" .

The awareness ride was flagged off by Dr M Bikramjit Singh, District Nodal Officer, NCD Thoubal and Ch Basanta Singh, District Program Officer, Thoubal from the CMO Office Complex Thoubal.

After reaching Khongjom, the rally returned and concluded at the starting point.

Around 30 cyclists actively took part in the awareness ride aimed at promoting awareness and control of hypertension among the public.

During the programme, Dr M Bikramjit highlighted the importance of regular physical activity in preventing hypertension and other lifestyle diseases.

He also encouraged the participants to abstain from illicit drugs and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
