District Level Students' Science Seminar held

Imphal, September 04 2025: The 45th Imphal East District Level Students' Science Seminar 2025 was held at the conference hall of ZEO Zone-II, Imphal East yesterday.

The seminar brought together some of the district's brightest young scientific minds from Classes VIII to X.As per a release issued by ZEO Zone-II, the event was organised as part of the nationwide effort to promote scientific temper and critical thinking among school children.

This year's seminar was held on the topic, "The Quantum Age Begins: Potentials and Challenges", encouraging participants to explore the revolutionary possibilities and pressing challenges associated with quantum technology, blending creativity with research-based knowledge.

The programme was graced by Sucheta Khumukcham, ZEO Zone-II, Imphal East; Kalpana Soram, DI of Schools; and RK Bheigyachandra Singh, AI of Schools, as presidium members.

Addressing the gathering, Sucheta Khumukcham said, "Competitions like these help shape future scientists and innovators.

The ideas presented today prove that our young minds have immense potential to contribute to society".

She encouraged the students to think beyond textbooks and view science as a tool for solving real-world problems.

Sanjoy Naorem urged the students to be prepared for the Quantum Age and emphasised that students need to learn, adapt and innovate tp thrive in the future.

Students from various Government and Private schools across the district participated, presenting their topics with confidence Using charts, working models, and multimedia presentations.

The competition was intense, with participants demonstrating not only knowledge but also originality in their approach.

Winners of the competition in the order of merit are- Aniket Mishra of Sainik School, Imphal; Ophelia Pebam of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School; and Memota Keisham of Sainik School, Imphal.

Aniket Mishra will represent Imphal East District at the 45th State Level Students' Science Seminar 2025 .

The upcoming state-level competition will see winners from different districts of Manipur competing for top honours and a chance to participate at the national level.
