Thoubal, December 02 2025: The Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Thoubal District Branch, Wangjing, has announced the recipient of the Leitanthem Ram Singh Ningsing Sahitya Award 2025, a biennial honour given in memory of renowned Manipuri litterateur Leitanthem Ram Singh.

According to a release from the Parishad, this year's award has been conferred upon Thokchom Dollarsana of Kongba Nandeibam Leikai for his poetry book "Utangbigi Lamdam" .

The award is donated by noted writer Naorem Gandhar Singh of Kakching.

Meanwhile, the Parishad has also announced the recipients of the Moirangthem Rajendro Ningsing Khorilol Award for the year 2025.The award, donated by Yumnam Mahendrakumar, will be presented to: i) Kartik Maiba, ii) Nahakpam Biren, iii) Saikhom Chaoba, iv) Tekcham Rameshwar vi) Tongbram Babulal, and vi) Okram Mani.

The awards will be presented during the Parishad's annual meeting, scheduled to be held on December 25 (Christmas Eve) at its office in Wangjing.

During the event, three books will also be released along with the annual journal "Khori-Ehool" .

The release programme will be held in the presence of Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Imphal, president Longjam Jaychandra and secretary, Elangbam Priyobarta.
