RIMS conducts free health camps

Imphal, May 02 2025: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, today organised two free health Camps dedicated to the well-being of senior citizens.

The camps were held at Senior Citizen Home, Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal East and Langol Old Age Home, Imphal West as part of the Swachhta Action Plan 2025-26.As per a release issued by RIMS, a team of doctors and specialists from the Departments of Clinical Psychology, General Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), and ENT provided free consultations, treatment, and counseling to the elderly residents.

The initiative aimed to address both the physical and mental health needs of the senior population and promote active aging through early diagnosis & timely medical care.

Altogether, 34 senior citizens benefited from the health camps.

Free medicines were also distributed during the camps.
