Imphal, May 26 2010:
Even as 350 empty trucks from Imphal reached Jiribam today, another 250 goods-laden trucks are getting ready to start their journey towards Imphal tomorrow.
Out of the 350 empty trucks which set out from Imphal, half of them reached Jiribam last night itself while the remaining were delayed on account of a landslide at Sibilong along National Highway 53 .
However, after the BRTF cleared the road, all the trucks have reached Jiribam late evening today and proceeded further to Silchar for loading essential commodities.
Meanwhile, around goods laden 250 trucks including oil tankers, which were stranded at Jiribam, are now getting ready and waiting for the security escort to return to Imphal tomorrow.
