Winter crop seeds distributed to fanners of Thoubal

Thoubal, October 29 2025:
The District Horticulture and Soil Conservation Office, Thoubal, under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) 2025-26, distributed winter crop seeds to selected beneficiary farmers of the district on Tuesday.
The distribution programme held at the training hall of the District Horticulture and Soil Conservation Office, was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal, Hannah Kahmei; District Agriculture Officer, Th Jayprakash; and District Officer of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Khaidem Malemnganba Meitei, who graced the event as chief guest, president, and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hannah Kahmei expressed hope that the seeds and other inputs distributed under the MIDH scheme would help farmers boost productivity and contribute to strengthening the economy of both the State and the nation.
During the event, 50 selected beneficiary farmers from Thoubal district received seeds of various winter crops, including peas, cabbage, onion, and other seasonal vegetables.
It was further informed that the seeds for other remaining farmers would be distributed daily at the office during office hours.
